Grief doesn't move in a straight line, and it isn't meant to be carried alone. This fall, we invite you into a five-week space to reflect on loss and death, whether you're actively grieving or simply want to sit with these questions alongside others in our community.
Thursdays, October 1 – October 29 at 6:30 PM on Zoom 1
- 10/1 — Good Grief: Opening session. We'll set our covenant together, explore the group's scope, and share initial reflections on grief.
- 10/8 — Silver Linings: On the well-meaning things people say that can miss the mark, and how more than one truth can be present when we're grieving.
- 10/15 — Pet Loss: Honoring the grief of losing an animal companion.
- 10/22 — Memorials: Exploring how we remember and mark a life.
- 10/29 — Death: Friend or Foe?: A closing conversation on how we think about death, philosophically and theologically, with space for appreciations and reflection as we part. This is a confidential, covenanted small group rooted in deep listening rather than advice-giving. All are welcome, whether you're in the midst of grief or just want to think and talk about death and loss more openly.
We recommend attending all five sessions, but you're welcome to join or step away as your schedule allows. This group is co-facilitated by Rev. Chloë and Rev. Rebecca Bijur
